Assoc Prof Fung attends APAO 2019 Bangkok
The APAO is always a busy meeting for Assoc Prof Fung, and this year was no exception! He had 3 posters, 2 rapid fire papers and 2 symposia to present. In the trauma symposium, he was asked to talk on the management of intraocular foreign bodies. Did you know?

- Most end up in the posterior segment
- Iron-containing metals can cause toxicity to the eye, a condition called siderosis that can manifest as heterochromia iris, mydriasis, cataract, glaucoma and pigmentary retinopathy
- 2/3 of patients achieve a final visual acuity of 6/18 or better
