R&MS participate in AussieDex trial
Retinal and Macular Specialists are participating in the AussieDex trial. This trial is a multicentre, open-label, prospective, Phase 4 study assessing the efficacy and side effects of intravitreal Ozurdex for the treatment of diabetic macular oedema in pseudophakic patients. Ozurdex is a long-lasting dexamethasone implant, that in this study is given up to every 4 months.
Patients can be treatment naive, or have failed treatment with anti-VEGF therapy. Exclusion criteria includes advanced glaucoma and aphakia.
